Stacey Kent Boy Next Door Contemporary Blues Music lp Review

Talented Contemporary Blues artist Stacey Kent has released her latest lp on the Candid Records recording label, entitled Boy Next Door.

I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a lp from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Boy Next Door. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

These days it’s a very rare lp on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.

If you’re a Stacey Kent fan, or just a fan of Contemporary Blues music this is a CD your collection simply should not be without.

While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 1 – The Best Is Yet To Come, track 7 – What The World Needs Now Is Love, and track 14 – I Get Along Without You Very Well

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore […as in “Stuck On REpeat”] is track 11 – People Will Say We’re In Love. Wow!
